Phat & Phurious FM is not a promotional platform. It's an editorial space built around a conviction: the underground bass music scene is full of exceptional artists who simply lack structured visibility.
We cover the genres that define today's bass music: UK Garage, Jungle, Liquid DnB, Bass House, Speed Garage, Dubstep, Bassline, with the same exigence as a specialist magazine and the agility of an independent digital media.
Editorial independence is not a marketing argument. It's the necessary condition for covering a scene honestly. No partnerships that dictate our programming. No commissioned articles. We invite the artists we believe in, we cover the events we choose.
Based in Montpellier, we're building a credible media outlet to cover festivals and give visibility to a scene that has long deserved it.

The signature format is the one-hour filmed guest mix. One artist, one selection, one camera. No short edit, no radio format, no duration constraint imposed by an algorithm. One full hour to say something.
The aesthetic is borrowed from cà phê sữa đá, the Vietnamese sweetened condensed milk coffee, drunk slowly over crushed ice. Slow. Dense. Intense. It's not a commercial image. It's a way of approaching music and content creation: with patience and conviction.
Each episode is conceived as a document. A trace. Something that will still exist in ten years and say: this is what the bass music scene was playing in Montpellier in 2026.

for bass music in France.
We don't start from a posture. We start from work. Building a credible media takes time: consistent episodes, articles that truly inform, a field presence that legitimises our voice. Phat & Phurious FM is in that process, episode after episode.
The medium-term goal is clear: press accreditations at major European festivals (Dour, Nuits Sonores, Junction 2, Fabric, Berghain Media), interviews with the artists who shape the scene, and a catalogue of filmed sets that document the state of underground bass music in France and Europe.
We're not an institution. We're a project driven by passion, exigence, and a deep conviction that the music we love deserves to be covered seriously. The rest will follow.
